Fundación Terra inaugurates its sixth POETA-DigiSpark Center for digital skills training

Fundación Terra, in collaboration with Microsoft, The Trust for the Americas, OEA, and local partner Asociación Compartir, has inaugurated the POETA-DigiSpark Center in Colonia Nueva Suyapa, Tegucigalpa. This center represents an unprecedented effort to promote inclusion, access to education, and economic opportunities through digital skills training.

 

The POETA-DigiSpark Center will serve an average of 80 students per month, including youth, adults, and educators, with operating hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The center will offer over 200 content modules and activities, including the use and care of technological equipment, such as powering on a computer, writing documents, creating presentations, managing spreadsheets for financial and accounting processes, utilizing AI-assisted virtual assistants, and safeguarding personal and document data.

 

The POETA-DigiSpark Center is benefiting the 18 neighborhoods within Colonia Nueva Suyapa.
