Fundación Terra launches the program 'Jóvenes Líderes al Servicio' to promote youth leadership in Central America

Fundación Terra, in its commitment to leadership development for the youth of Central America, announces the launch of the innovative program "Jóvenes Líderes al Servicio" This program aims to empower young people from Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador through comprehensive training and the development of skills for active and transformative participation in society.

The "Youth Leaders in Service" program will run from March 2 to June 29, providing participants with a training experience consisting of 4 thematic modules, subdivided into 16 Saturday sessions, each lasting 3 hours. The hybrid format, combining in-person and virtual sessions, will allow the 60 selected young individuals to interact with 15 international speakers and receive guidance from 8 specialized national facilitators.

Following an open call that attracted over 400 applicants, a careful selection process based on regional impact, age, and leadership experience identified the 60 most promising young individuals. The selected candidates, aged between 18 and 28, are university interns or graduates with a proven track record in leadership initiatives.

The training covers essential topics for effective leadership development, from impact generation and vision to the analysis of government systems and the development of public policies. The modules are designed to encourage interaction and debate, as well as to inspire young individuals to generate community development project initiatives, social entrepreneurship, and proposals for public policy.

Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive a Training Certificate endorsed by the prestigious Central American Technological University (UNITEC), accrediting the 48 hours of specialized training they have received.
