Fundación Terra, in partnership with the USAID'S Creando Mi Futuro Aquí Project, awards Seed Capital to 23 Young Entrepreneurs in the country

Fundación Terra, through its flagship entrepreneurship program Terra te Impulsa, in collaboration with the USAID's project Creando Mi Futuro Aquí, is proud to announce the delivery of the Terra te Impulsa Award, consisting of seed capital with the purpose of empowering 23 young talents from 40 municipalities in the country. This program aims to provide young people with the opportunity to offer their services independently and formally in the business market, providing them with the necessary tools to turn their ideas into successful enterprises.

With a total of 40 hours of training spread across six thematic modules, participants received comprehensive training that enabled them to understand the dynamics of the business market while fostering their creativity and the generation of innovative ideas. Additionally, entrepreneurs developed essential skills, learning to manage resources efficiently and implement sales and communication techniques. Finally, they were taught how to legalize their entrepreneurship and ensure compliance with the legal and regulatory aspects of a business.

In addition to the valuable training, participants competed for seed capital and a digital component to bring their projects to life. The prize distribution is as follows:

  • First place: L 20,000
  • Second place: L 16,000
  • Third place: L 14,000
  • Fourth to twenty-third place: L 10,000
  • Twenty-fourth to twenty-sixth place: 1 laptop with corresponding Microsoft licenses

The winners were selected by a panel of judges who evaluated the entrepreneurs' participation based on criteria such as innovation and creativity in processes and products, the incorporation of digital marketing knowledge into the business, the viability of the entrepreneurship, market opportunities, the candidate's communication skills, a sustainable business model with growth potential, and highlights in their ventures.

It is important to note that all participants must be registered and active on the Terra te Impulsa platform, where they can establish their virtual stores and offer products or services for free.

"With this initiative, Foundation Terra aims to promote innovation, foster entrepreneurial spirit, and highlight the role of training in creating new businesses, promoting entrepreneurial independence, and economic development among participating entrepreneurs. This is a unique opportunity for talented young entrepreneurs in the country who wish to turn their dreams into reality," expressed Mariel Rivera, Executive Director of Fundación Terra.

David Medina, Deputy Director of Creando Mi Futuro Aquí, stated, "At Creando Mi Futuro Aquí, we are committed to empowering the Honduran youth to fulfill their dreams and goals here in our country.
