Fundación Terra and Meta launch certification program to boost the growth of national entrepreneurs
Fundación Terra, through its flagship entrepreneurship program Terra te Impulsa, in collaboration with Meta, launches the Meta Blueprint training platform. The objective is to train and certify entrepreneurs in Honduras in new skills that enable them to understand and leverage technological tools, propelling their businesses into the digital era.
Since its inception in 2020, Terra te Impulsa program aims to seek strategic allies that add value to the development of the initiatives it encompasses. Hence, the Fundación Terra partners with Meta (Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp) to provide small and medium-sized entrepreneurs with knowledge about digital solutions and products. This knowledge helps them develop new competencies, digital skills, and abilities, thereby strengthening the country's entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Through the Meta Blueprint learning platform, entrepreneurs from Terra te Impulsa can choose from various free courses on digital marketing, social media content concepts, safe internet browsing, and many more. They can also participate in live training sessions conducted by Meta. These free training sessions will serve as the foundation for applying to scholarships provided by the Terra Foundation, granting access to certifications endorsed by Meta in Digital Marketing and Augmented Reality.
As a member of the Partnership for Central America (PCA) and in its ongoing commitment to promoting economic opportunities for entrepreneurial development in the northern triangle of the region, Fundación Terra, through this alliance with Meta, will contribute comprehensive opportunities for digital inclusion in Honduras. This initiative aims to empower entrepreneurs, allowing them to generate higher income and employment.
Mr. Fredy Nasser, President of Fundación Terra, expressed gratitude, stating, "We appreciate Meta for the trust placed in us. We are confident that this alliance will enable us to continue working to create opportunities and conditions that facilitate the strengthening of digital skills, fostering the growth and development of the country's SMEs."
In turn, Mr. Íñigo Fernandez, Head of Public Policy for Mexico and Central America at Meta, stated, "In a country like Honduras, where SMEs contribute approximately 60% of the Gross Domestic Product, digital transformation has the potential not only to strengthen the economic sector but also to create more accessible opportunities for technology to become a beneficial tool for all industries and sectors."
Terra te Impulsa program collaborates with various strategic partners, providing continuous training in relevant topics in the business world. This collaboration generates knowledge in financial education, marketing, digital transformation, formalization, among other areas, allowing participants to compete for the Terra te Impulsa Award and access seed capital.
